The subterranean holding tanks for the community well will be relined, repaired, and cleaned beginning on May 13th. The project should take 2 weeks barring any unforeseen problems.

Other system repairs are slated to be completed during this time ; removal and replacement of various couplings in pumphouse, removal and replacement of broken main valves throughout the system.

While the tanks are being serviced, we will be on Downers Grove water*. Regular watering restrictions will be in effect from May 15th – September 15th.

The bi-annual hydrant flush will happen sometime after the completion of the tank maintenance project. A notice will be sent out ahead of time so that residents may plan accordingly.

*Liberty Park was on Downer’s Grove water in 2020, at that time the cost was approximately $6,000 per week.
